Ruth Proctor
Pianist
Miss Ruth plays the piano for ballet classes and exams.
Ruth has been accompanying ballet classes since 2005. She has played for RAD examinations up to Grade 8 and Intermediate in dance schools throughout the county. She also plays the flute and has played with various local orchestras, and sings with Stamford Choral and Chiara (a semi-local, ad hoc choir for female voices).
Ruth was herself a pupil at Welland with Anne Desbruslais, reaching vocational level in ballet, tap and modern theatre. She took her Grade 8 flute and piano exams whilst at school and then went on to Bristol University to read psychology. She lives in Stamford with her two children and, as well as playing for classes and exams at the Welland School, Ruth teaches the piano, privately, to both adults and children, accompanies music examinations and occasionally plays the organ for local church services.
