Florrie Harris

Florrie began dancing at the age 7 at her local community dance school in Kettering, She started with Ballet, Tap and Modern Stage. She passed her exams with flying colours and loved performing. Florrie became interested in Contemporary dance when she took GCSE and A Level dance in secondary school. 

Leading on from A levels and a continued passion for dance, Florrie graduated from the University of Winchester with a first-class BA Hons in Choreography and Dance. She was rehearsal director for pre-professional dance company called D@win and worked with professional choreographers, Luke Birch, ZoieLogic, Morvell Dance, Chris Hutchings, and others.

 

After leaving education, Florrie achieved a distinction in her Ballet Teacher’s exam with the National Association of Teachers of Dancing (A.N.A.T.D) and launched Florrie Harris Dance Academy in the Market Harborough area in January 2023. Florrie is excited to be joining the Welland School of Dancing faculty.
