Meg Snow

BA (Hons) Dance, Performers Group Teacher

Miss Meg joins Welland as a Modern Performers Group teacher.

Meg is a former pupil of Welland School of Dance, taking Ballet and Modern, and being a part of both Senior Performers and Senior Pre-Majors until 2019.

In September 2019, Meg started at Edge Hill University on the BA (Hons) Dance course, and studied Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Capoeira, Bharatanatyam and Flamenco. She taught, choreographed and competed for Edge Hill’s Official Competition Team, winning awards at competitions across the North West. Meg graduated from Edge Hill in 2022, achieving a First Class degree.

Since leaving university, Meg has taught at various dance schools and primary schools across Stamford and Rutland.

Miss Meg is excited to return to Welland, the school that sparked her love for dance, as part of the teaching faculty.

Meg’s Classes

Pre Primary RAD Ballet (Reception)

RAD Pre-Primary ballet is the first grade of the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, and is designed for children who have just started reception year at school age 4-5.

Grade 2 Modern Theatre

ISTD Grade 2 (Year 3, Year 4) Modern Theatre
Is suitable for pupils in Year 3 and 4 aged 7-9.

Primary (Transition) RAD Ballet

RAD Primary Transition Ballet (Year 1) is suitable for pupils in Year 1 at school aged 5-6. It bridges the gap between the RAD Pre-Primary and Primary grades.

Grade 1 Tap

ISTD Grade 1 Tap ( Year 3, Year 4)
Is suitable for pupils in Year 3 and 4 plus at school age 7-9.

Grade 3 Modern Theatre

ISTD Grade 3 Modern (Year 5, Year 6 )
Is suitable for years 5 and 6 age 9-11.

Grade 2 Tap

ISTD Grade 2 Tap (Year 5, Year 6)
Is suitable for pupils in Year 5 and 6 aged 9-11.

Grade 1 (Transition) RAD Ballet

RAD Grade 1 Transition Ballet (Year 3) is suitable for pupils in Year 3 at school aged 7-8. It bridges the gap between RAD Primary and Grade 1, gradually introducing the new vocabulary.

Grade 2 (Transition) RAD Ballet

RAD Grade 2 Transition Ballet (Year 5) is suitable for pupils in Year 5 at school aged 9-10. It bridges the gap between RAD Grade 1 and 2, gradually introducing the new vocabulary.

Beginners Tap

A Saturday lunchtime class for adults / teenagers. Beginners welcome. If you enjoy tap dancing, want to learn, or rekindle a childhood hobby this is the class for you. Learn lots of tap steps, link them together into sequences and enjoy doing stylish routines. Different abilities catered for. Have fun in this all ability class.
