Francesca Ainge

Francesca fell in love with dance at the age of 5 and under the guidance of wonderful, supportive teachers. In 1998, she was cast in Wayne Sleep's 'Alice in Wonderland Ballet' and performed at the London Coliseum, touring this and 'Doll's House Fantasia' with the National Youth Ballet. She went on to study under Jayne Wing and complete her ISTD Diploma in Dance Education (Modern).

 

In her early twenties, Francesca was chosen to perform in 'Layers of Skin' with contemporary company, Retina Dance company. She trained to become a Children's Fitness Instructor and taught at Uppingham School Sports Centre for many years, developing their children's activities as well as offering adult ballet classes and then following Zumba Instructor training, Zumba for Adults and Children. 

 

In 2012, Francesca formed 'Launch Dance Company' alongside five fellow dancers with the idea to create Contemporary work to perform in theatres. Francesca runs her own dance school, has taught in numerous schools across both Northamptonshire and Rutland and in 2018 was appointed Dance Teacher at Rutland's Independent Preparatory school, Brooke Priory, where she continues to develop her subject across the nursery, pre-prep and prep. 

 

Francesca is excited to be joining the Welland School of Dancing’s faculty in September 2023, and looks forward to meeting all the children.
